I saw today that Chross ran a caning picture that I featured about a year ago, and it reminded me that I had a whole folder full of unique caning pics. So for something a little different today, here are some classic caning pics.

The photo of the young lady lying on the bed being caned is so me being punished by my mum!My parents were strict and they both spanked me over my Pyjamas but Mum did the bare bottom caning in her bedroom.
it reall hut and I got up to 10 strokes and any putting hands in the way or rubbing my bum would mean extra often on my thighs. This went on until I was about 20 and in University!it was so embarrassing trying not to fidget on the wooden seats and benches the day ater getting it ! Amanda
The photo of a group of school girls holding a placard is quite famous and was I think taken in 1947 at a Show Ground in a Southern County. The girls in question came from a private school (Charity School?) and were protesting about the frequent canings and spankings they recieved. This included older girls, of 18 and 19 some were given on the bare bottom! One of the govenors promised they would be severely punished ,when he was asked to comment. MJ
Actually I believe that the picture of the girls holding the placard comes from a well-documented incident in Newcastle in the Nineteen-Seventies.
The principal of the school, responding to the burgeoning Women’s Lib movement and angered by the female pupils escaping corporal punishment for offenses such as truancy, swearing at teachers, smoking etc, whereas the male pupils would be caned, announced that in the future everybody would be treated equally. In other words the girls would be caned for the same offences as the boys.
The famous riot was a result of the girls’ arguing that as they would be caned on the hands to defend their feminine dignity then they should be allowed to wear gloves as the males were allowed to keep their trousers up while being thrashed.
The riot went on for several days and eventually five of the ring-leaders were caned.
It heralded the start of the STOPP (Society of Teachers Opposed to Physical Punishment) movement and ultimately resulted in the abolition of corporal punishment in British Schools.
